Two-piece operator passage across the entire working width of 6000 mm
Note on machine design:
Machining of long workpieces up to a maximum of 6000 mm
Machining Horizontally from the front face (5th side) with a rotating head (right/left).
Pendulum machining using a center divider, max. workpiece length: 1773 mm with SK machining on both ends (tool length: 120 mm).
4 double hydraulic jaws (fixed center jaw) per pendulum section.
Positioning and clamping via a linear system (hydraulic release, mechanical clamping).
The machine is equipped with a pneumatically extendable work stop on each side of the pendulum, as well as two separately controllable pneumatic lifts. These lifts allow long workpieces to be placed in an inclined position after machining (to drain water from the profiles) in a first step and removed from the jaws in a second step for ergonomic handling.
Note on the machine's condition:
The machine was completely overhauled by the manufacturer Chiron in 2013.
The last spindle change was performed in March 2021 (spindle hours approx. 7,300 h).
The machine has been maintained, repaired, and overhauled annually by the manufacturer in accordance with the latest technical standards (preventive maintenance). The last inspection was performed in January 2024.
There are currently no known defects on the machine.
The machining process with the KOHN linear clamping system can be viewed on the new, identically constructed machine (manufactured in 2023).
